All travelers entering Bermuda must have a valid passport that does not expire within six months of your travel dates. Bermuda’s local currency is the Bermudian Dollar (BMD), which is equivalent in value to the U.S. Dollar. Both are accepted everywhere on the island, so there’s no need to exchange cash before you arrive.

Most restaurants, shops, and hotels accept major credit cards. ATMs are available, but keep in mind that some may charge international withdrawal fees.

Tipping customs are similar to the U.S. — most restaurants automatically include a 15–17% service charge, so check your bill before adding extra.

If you prefer to have some cash on hand for taxis or small vendors, U.S. dollars work just fine.

Bermuda is small, scenic, and easy to explore, but a little different from what most travelers are used to! Visitors cannot rent standard cars, so transportation works a bit differently here.
